The B-Path project yesterday participated in the PREPARE-EU workshop “Translating European Expertise to Pandemic Preparedness,” held on 28–29 April 2026 at the Helmholtz Centre for Infection Research in Braunschweig, Germany.
The event was organised within the framework of PCR4ALL in collaboration with the German Center for Infection Research.
During the meeting, Dr Chiara Sepulcri, an infectious disease specialist who is overseeing the ongoing activities within Work Package 5 (WP5) at Ospedale San Raffaele, delivered a presentation on behalf of the B-Path consortium, highlighting the role of non-invasive breath sampling technologies in enhancing the rapid detection of respiratory pathogens.
The presentation was featured within Session II – Laboratories, Diagnostics & Digital Tools for Europe: Next Generation Surveillance, chaired by Dr. Vanessa Melhorn, which focused on innovative approaches to strengthening Europe’s surveillance and diagnostic capacity.
Participation in PREPARE-EU provided a valuable opportunity to share project progress, connect with European partners, and contribute to discussions on innovative diagnostic strategies for future pandemic preparedness.
